The night before Christmas. I love this time when all the prep has been done, presents are wrapped and i’ve finally finished decorating the house! I took a moment to feel grateful for my beautiful home, while everyone was in bed and the house was quiet…and tidy! I love the magic Christmas brings this time of year. The twinkle of the fairy lights, the flicker of the fire, the glow of the candles. And all the extra colourful decorations! Tis the season of joy after all.
This goes out to all of you who work hard to bring the magic of Christmas to your friends and family. it’s exhausting but so worth it. There is nothing I love more then filling my home with the people I love and making them feel welcome, loved
and special. The big day is here and let the chaos commence! 🎄

Last minute idea for a table centre piece that’s

Last minute idea for a table centre piece that’s super quick and simple!

Simply get a low vase, pot or container and a tall tapered candle. Fix it to the bottom with a blog of blue tack, or melt the bottom to secure in place. Use tape to make a grid around the candle to stop it falling over. Take some left over supermarket flowers and foliage snipped from the garden, cut short and nestle all around. Voila! I’ll make three of these and place them down the centre. They look so stunning!

My rug arrived in time for Christmas!!!

Introducing my new collection with @harlequinfw and wow what a fresh injection of bold colour joy this Basketweave design has injected into the living room! It feels uplifting, energising and positively perfect. I love how the bold geometric design contrasts with the pretty florals and vintage furniture and the overall effect is so much more modern.

Best tip I can give you is to go as large as you can afford so all the front feet of the furniture sit on the rug. You want to maximise that splash of colour and pattern to really make the statement.

Pick a design and colour way that compliments the rest of your scheme. I love the way the aqua sofa sings against the coral red and pink, yet the colours also link back to the cushions and the painting.

The deep 100% pure new pile feels super luxurious for the winter season and is a treat to walk on.

Adding joyful colour to your Christmas table couldn’t be easier with these easy ideas.

Tie large ribbon bows to the back of your dining chairs, allowing the tails to fall lavishly long.

Use brightly coloured napkins to pop against your classic tableware. A table cloth is an obvious choice but I also love the natural wood against all these bright colours.

Dot fruit like clementines, pomegranates, pears and plums down the centre of the table and a few left over tree decorations for a versatile centre piece.

Create small posies of colourful flowers and berries, tucked into glass tumblers or low bowls and dot around the room liberally.

Add colourful candles down the centre of the table, in different heights, to finish off the centre piece.

Decorate my tree with me! I love to bring out the

Decorate my tree with me! I love to bring out the same Christmas tree decorations year on year but always with a new twist. This year my update is a juicy red, pink and orange scheme. Join me, my Mum and Arthur as we decorate our tree! 🎄

Here’s how:
1. Start with the lights. I always go for a warm light indoors as it’s more ambient to live with.
2. Wanting to save on money and plastic this year, I raided my garden and picked a bunch of hydrangea heads. Other dried flowers could work too.
3. Next update is these tissue paper baubles. I bought 4” ones from eBay and stuck to a pink, red and orange colour scheme as they really pop against the dark green branches.
4. Left over ribbons from last years garland came out again, simply tied rather than in a bow, so they dangle amongst the branches
5. My new recruits are these super cute toadstool mushrooms. I love incorporating decorations that come on a wire as they sit up on the branches, rather than dangle down. I bought them from my local christmas tree barn
6. Finally it wouldn’t be Christmas without bringing out all the golden oldies that bring that air of nostalgia.
