We recently took a family holiday to Ibiza in May. The agenda was some much needed R&R but I find holidays a wonderful way to get recharged and find new inspiration. Ibiza has its own very unique vibe and sense of style so I was papping away avidly with my iphone, capturing the wonderful colours and designs I saw where ever we went. I thought I’d share some of my snaps, as theres so good design ideas in there.
May is in my view an ideal time to visit the Island. Flights are cheap and the beaches are quiet, none of the clubbing has started so its ideal for young families. The sun was perfect and the sea ideal for a refreshing swim. We stayed in Santa Eulalia and which has lovely beaches to access.
We visited a few peachy beaches during our trip including:
Cala Bassa Beach club near San Antonio- great for paddling in the shallow waters and take a net for fishing!
Benniras Beach, past San Miguel was lovely hippy beach with a breathtaking view. Got a great massage on the beach.
Babylon Beach, past Santa Eulalia. Book a table for a super stylish Sunday roast or a delicious superfood salad and green juice. As with many parts of Ibiza, settle down into a beanbag on the beach and enjoy people watching.
A great website for advice on stylish haunts in White Ibiza.
Now finally for a touch of shopping. This store got recommended to me by my dear stylist friend Anna McDougall, who has an eye for all things fabulous. La Galeria Elefante is on the road to Santa Gertrudis (worth a visit also), and you can’t miss its bright pink elephants visible from the road. It a large scale treasure trove of global finds. Towers of rainbow textiles from Guatemala, carved beds from India, wax candles form France, bedspreads from Morocco, rope swing seats, cut glass goblets, it was a total party. Have a flick through my snaps, which in no way do it justice!
