Are you in the middle of designing your kitchen?
When I planned my kitchen with Magnet, I agonised about making sure there was a place for everything. You can lust over the colours and the details all you like, but if you can’t store away all the kitchen clutter effectively, then it’s never going to look stylish and you’ll become frustrated with a space that doesn’t ‘work’. No matter the size of your kitchen, there are many ways in which you can ensure the space you have is used to it’s maximum capacity. Kitchens are an area that naturally tend to gather ‘clutter’ just through everyday use, so have a look at some of these ideas for how to keep the clutter at bay:
Having everything organised in one place makes preparing meals a joy. I have a spice drawer, baking drawer, pasta and pulses drawer, herbal tea drawer and even the dog has her own snack drawer too.
Most kitchens require a corner return, and this is where unused spiralisers, juicers and slow cookers go to die. A corner carousel makes it super easy and quick to retrieve everything from the depths of the darkest corner cupboard.
Game changing! In our old kitchen the worktop was a constant tangle of cables and chargers and tablets and phones. Not anymore. With its own designated drawer, you’ll never be caught out on low battery mode again.
The yellow pantry cupboard also houses the integrated fridge and freezer so all food stuffs are in one place but it still looks beautifully stylish when the doors are closed.
Are not just for pans. All our china, glasses, cookware, and Tupperware are stored in these deep drawers. They make it easier to organise and access everything and, in my view, look more stylish than traditional cupboards from the outside too.
The secret weapon that you’d never know was there, with baking trays conveniently close to where you need them.
If you have bar stools under your island you can end up with a few inches of wasted space. Using slim wall units as base units in this area is the perfect place to use less used items like special china and serve ware.
It’s not all about hiding everything away. Open shelving is a lovely place to display favourite things as well as keeping everyday essentials like tea and coffee close to hand.

Interior design and art are the things that allow me navigating on my journey through chronic illness and creating wonderful atmospheres and worlds on paper and in my awaken dreams. Thanks for being part of that and inspiring me to go back to my love for color!
