Across the three days I’ll be hosting a series of mini workshops, to give you an insight into my design process and the importance of colour. I’ll also be taking you to the city’s best interiors addresses. Think artisans, modern makers and everything from vintage furniture to tiles, textiles and lighting so you can imbue your own home with the magic of Marrakech.

Plus, you’ll get a chance to meet the creative team behind El Fenn to find out how they put that iconic look together that draws people in from across the world, along with their little black book of the city’s secret style spots that they love the most.

El Fenn is a dream for colour lovers, but beyond its walls, there’s a city packed with creatives doing fascinating things. I always leave Marrakech feeling supercharged and I’m so excited to share that with you. Our aim is to take you behind the scenes of Marrakech’s dynamic interiors scene and give you access to places and spaces that most visitors never see.

The Discover Colour retreat runs Friday 29th November to Monday December 2nd 2024. Prices start at £2995 a medium room and include all meals, pre-dinner cocktails and wine with dinner, trips out & transport plus airport transfers. Flights not included. Read on for details…

Here’s an idea of what to expect:

Day 1
Check in, have lunch and soak up some sun before meeting me for lunch on the rooftop. After a tour of El Fenn with creative director Yann Dobry, you’ll join me for the first colour masterclasses. Then it’s time to plunge straight into the medina with a trip to meet one of our favourite local carpet dealers who’ll talk you through the fascinating history of Moroccan rugs. Later, you’ll gather for sunset cocktails and a candlelit dinner on the El Fenn rooftop where we’ll get to know each other more over some great food and wine.

Day 2
After breakfast, you’ll join me for our second mini masterclass before heading off to the beautiful Beldi Country Club for a look around their artisanal shopping ‘village’. Lunch will be followed by a trip to Sidi Ghanem, a former industrial area which is now buzzing with large ateliers where Marrakech’s most exciting modern makers are based. Think rugs, lighting, pottery and art that interpret Morocco’s heritage through a modern lens. Back for sunset cocktails at El Fenn, followed by dinner at Riad Rosemary – the latest creative creation of renowned Belgian ceramicist Laurence Leenaert who founded cult lifestyle brand LRNCE.

Day 3
Enjoy breakfast on the terrace before your third workshop with me. You can then choose to either tour the Bab Khemis flea market with Yann who’ll share his favourite vintage addresses with or opt for a guided tour of the medina. Lunch at El Fenn will be followed by a tour of one of Marrakech’s most stunning private homes. We won’t reveal whose it is yet. Let’s just say she’s fashion royalty! Sunset cocktails on the El Fenn rooftop will be followed by dinner at L’Hotel – Jasper Conran’s seriously stylish riad where he’s ingeniously given Moroccan design an English country house twist.

Day 4
Soak up the blue skies over breakfast before a final word from me. What have you loved the most? What’s got you inspired? And how will you take what you’ve learned back home? Then it’s time to head off for your flight. Or why not stay on for another couple of nights at El Fenn. There is so much more to see and do now you know the city or I highly recommend the Hammam.
