Construction of the Annex Build renovation

One of the most exciting parts of designing a house from the ground up is seeing the progress and being able to make the right choices every step of the way. Our annex renovation has been a facinating build in terms of construction. We’ve opted for a timber frame thought allows for maximum insulation all around which is at the heart of this deisgn as being energy efficient is in the interest for all. The flat roof design is the perfect platform for a large bank of solar panels. More coming soon but enjoy this video where my husband tom from ark Builders talks us through the construction.

Does your bedroom really need to be neutral to help you sleep? I say no!

As a maximalist with a passion for colour psychology, I chose green as the core colour for my bedroom - it’s a perfect choice for creating a restful, restorative and soothing space. The entire palette was inspired by the stunning “Wonderland Floral” wallpaper from my collection with @harlequinfw. I layered in blues and burnt oranges, playing with patterns and textures to create a bold, yet elegant retreat. And honestly, I love how it turned out. I sleep like a baby and feel fabulous!
