Hoping you can help with a dilemma, my living room has a feature wall of wallpaper which is cream in the background with pink and lime green accent colours, the rest of the walls are cream. When buying artwork do you think it needs to be in the same colour scheme or does it not matter?

Many thanks for your question. I don’t think artwork should Match the wallpaper but it does help if its sympathetic. For example it would be good if the painting picks up some of the interior design scheme colours within it, so there is some link. Hope that helps!
I love your living room. We have lots of beams and a lot of white and grey but you always inspire me to splash on the colour! Its great to hear a designer talk about homes as a homes not just perfectly pristine spaces. I do think storage I so important in a family home too, especially if you like things to look stylish but don’t want to feel like you’re constantly fluffing up the cushions every time someone sits down.
